Always Learning Live

Registration is open for December in Albuquerque and May in Minneapolis!

Albuquerque has more speakers, and costs a little more for registration, but less for rooms.

Minneapolis has fewer speakers, but there's a water park.

You can subscribe to updates for either one:

ALL Unschooling Symposium 2012, Albuquerque
       OR
All Unschooling in Minnesota
OR you could just sign up for both of them!

Treasure Island, Florida, October 17-20

Keith, Holly and I will be at Un in the Sun in Florida, in October.

The site looks really wonderful, with two pools and a beach! There are kitchenettes available, too, if you want to prepare your family's meals in the room.

Update on European Vacation

The gathering in France went well despite pouring rain much of the time. I'm glad we had my little PA system. Otherwise we would have shouted our voices out the first day. Claire Darbaud translated tirelessly until near the end of day 3, when Bea Mantovani took up and did an hour and a half of questions and answers.

Leiden had beautiful weather and so the children could play outside on the school's equipment, or across the street at a parent-supported playground with beautiful equipment. Notes on the day are right here.

I spoke all day, even through lunchtime to a smaller group (someone brought me food from the potluck, which was wonderful). *NEXT YEAR IN LEIDEN* is already being planned, with Joyce Fetteroll and a group discussion. ALL Unschooling in Leiden! :-)

Here is a list of my where-and-what, in Europe this summer, with links to blog posts and photos for anyone interested in knowing more. http://sandraeurope2012.blogspot.co.uk/p/speaking.html (and it will be updated again, as things go along).

Last chance to hear me this summer in Europe, on July 15 at the LiTTLe Conference (and then, back in the U.S., at the HSC Conference in early June).

And... Learn Nothing Day approaches. Celebrate being unschoolers who learn every day!

Next: Europe

I'm at the San Francisco airport on my way home after an extended stay at Life is Good in Vancouver, Washington. By the end of the weekend, I'll be in the UK; by the end of next week, France. Information on getting in on my three appearances is here: France, June 11-13

(Scotland has been postponed until next year.)

Leiden (Netherlands) June 30

Ashford, Surrey (England) July 14-15

BUT NEWS!
In an interesting move, the schedule for the LiTTLe conference has been set where I don't speak on Saturday the 14th, and am the only speaker in the 15th (with Julie coordinating some audience-input bits, so she might speak, too, some!)

Life is Good, in Vancouver WA

I'm in Vancouver, Washington, at Mary Gold's Life is Good conference. I spoke this afternoon, and have a vocal-music funshop tomorrow morning and a presentation in the afternoon. I'm on a panel Saturday afternoon, and am speaking Sunday morning.

I also have a big, soft bed all to myself with five pillow and I'm about to get in it.

If you're on Facebook, maybe you'll be able to see a set of photos from the time I was speaking, taken and shared by Shonna Morgan. Click this one to see if you can get to them:

Massachusetts and Washington, VERY SOON!

I'm leaving in a week and a half for two weeks away from home, followed by two days AT home before I fly to the UK, and from there to France, back to the UK, drive to Scotland with the Daniels, back to the UK, fly to Amsterdam for the week in Leiden, and back to the UK for a while.

Home then for a couple of weeks before I go to HSC in Sacramento!!

Then home for nearly two months before the Florida Un in the Sun, to which Holly and Keith are also going!

It sounds exhausting and a little crazy, but I'm also excited about it all. :-)

If you ever need more information than I remember to leave here, please let me know by e-mail or facebook or leaving a note in blog comments. I get e-mail notifications of those last two, and e-mail is where I mostly live when I'm travelling.

The Minnesota tab at the to of the blog has a link now to subscribe to news. Alex Polikowsky is organizing, and we're looking at April 2013. Jill Parmer will travel with me and speak, too.

May 18-20, 2012
Always Learning Live Unschooling Symposium,

World tour with a lot of Albuquerque

For years my speaking notes have been at SandraDodd.com/speaking, but because the page also has previous speaking engagements (the history of conferences at which I've spoken) it's becoming unwieldy.

It is also now common for me to keep a blog when I travel, and add photos as it goes. Blogs for events can be efficient, as well, as people can subscribe to blogs directly (rather than to all the chit-chat news of the site).

And so here this is. Each tab above has some information about a single conference or a group of visits, and I hope you will find something near to you, or will consider coming to Albuquerque some December!

The site for June 30, 2012 in Leiden is beautifully finished: http://sandradoddleiden.wordpress.com/leiden/ Rippy Dusseldorp did that.

Marta Pires has already created a site for a visit to Lisbon that's over a year away. Joyce and I will be there, and maybe Alex Polikowsky: http://sandradoddemlisboa.blogspot.com/
